This theater’s goal of supporting contemporary playwrights is a highly laudible one, even if the results can be frustratingly inconsistent. But when you get a good show, it tends to be really, really good... Many of Playwrights’ productions move on to Broadway and an impressively large number of big-name actors turn up in their shows to support this mission.
