Ski from the crest of the Ještěd-Kozákov Ridge (1,012 metres above sea level) and enjoy views into Poland, Germany and the Krkononše mountain ranges to the north almost, simultaneously. The stretch straddles the Lusatian mountains to the west and forms a significant part of the whole of the Sudeten landscape. This place is recommended for more experienced skiers - and hikers moderately fit - as there are some trying slopes on the ascent and descent respectively. Rent a car, take a taxi or ride the cableway, which is 10 minutes walk through a wooded approach from Horní Hanychov tram stop, for easy alternatives.
